Lisa Jackson, CPA

Lisa co-founded Whitman & Jackson along with Don Whitman.  She has been a CPA since 1990 and added financial services to her practice in 1999.  Lisa moved to Arizona in 1981 from Iowa after deciding 18 years of snow was enough.  She graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985 with a degree in Business Administration.

After graduation Lisa moved to Phoenix and began her career with a small local CPA firm where she spent 8 years.  She then moved to mid-sized Phoenix firm where she was a manager for 6 years.  In October of 2000 she started her own practice.  She started her practice with about 75 clients and with a reputation for caring and providing outstanding service to her clients was able to grown her practice ten fold through referrals from other satisfied clients. 

Lisa met her husband Rick in 1986 and they married in December of 1989, together they have a son Adam. 

She strives to be educated on current tax laws and financial advisory issues by completing a minimum of 60 hours of continuing education each year.  She is also a member of the QuickBooks Pro Advisor program.  In addition to being a CPA, Lisa holds the FINRA series 7 & 66 securities licenses as well as being a licensed Life, Disability and Long Term Care representative. 

Lisa is very active in here community and supports local charities.  She is a long standing member of the Business Network at Anthem as well as the Anthem Chamber of Commerce. 

The charity closest to her heart is CCFA.  As a result of her son being diagnosed with Crohns disease in 2004 at the age of 9, they as a family have become very active fundraisers for the Crohns & Colitis Foundation of American (CCFA).  Lisa currently serves as president of the board of the Southwest Chapter.
